The Tenth Circuit on Tuesday issued two published opinions and eleven unpublished opinions.

In Skrzypczak v. Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, the Court affirmed the district court’s grant of summary judgment for Respondent. A former minister within the diocese, Petitioner’s claim of hostile work environment under Title VII is barred; such an action brought by a minister against a church would “improperly interfere with the church’s right to select and direct its ministers free from state interference.”

In United States v. Renigar, the Court affirmed the district court’s denial of Petitioner’s motion to suppress evidence. Petitioner, having submitted a conditional guilty plea to one count of possessing child pornography, contended that the affidavit underlying the search of his home did not provide probable cause. The Court disagreed and found that an affidavit linking an IP address to both child pornography and a residential address provided a substantial basis and probable cause for the issuance of a search warrant for the residence.
