Governor Bill Ritter named Ingrid Seftar Bakke of Lafayette as a District Court judge in the 20th Judicial District, which serves Boulder County. The new judgeship was created by HB07-1054.
Bakke received her law degree from the University of Denver in 1990. She is currently a partner at McCormick & Kennedy in Boulder and also serves as a Municipal Court judge for the City of Lakewood. Previously, she has served as a chief deputy district attorney in Boulder and a deputy district attorney for Jefferson County.
District Court judges serve a provision two-year term before facing a retention election. If retained by the voters, District Court judges serve six-year terms.
