On April 13, 2011, Representative Murray and Senator Cadman introduced HB 1297 – Concerning the statewide internet portal authority. This summary is published here courtesy of the Colorado Bar Association’s e-Legislative Report.
The bill adds state agencies and local governments to the interests to be served by the statewide internet portal authority, in addition to members of the general public. The bill also:
- Directs the authority to enable access to products and services as well as information;
- Allows the authority to fund its activities using revenue derived from the sale of services, products, or information; and
- Strikes current language subjecting the authority to performance audits.
