In Case You Missed It: Legal-Themed Ignite Videos Online

There’s a new way to network that’s igniting legal gatherings across Denver.

At recent Denver Bar Association events, presenters have offered information and entertainment with Ignite-style presentations. Haven’t heard of Ignite? It’s a fast-paced presentation meant to share ideas. The rules are simple: Five minutes to present. Twenty PowerPoint slides. Those slides must advance every 15 seconds.

Ignite started in Seattle as the brainchild of O’Reilly Media’s Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. Today, there are Ignite events across the globe (including in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins).

Would you like to see what ideas your colleagues have? The DBA’s most recent event was held for its Pro Bono Week Kick Off Party. Naturally, the topic was pro bono, and the first video in the group is a welcome from DBA President Ilene Bloom and Chief Justice Michael Bender. A couple videos from the night are posted below, and click here to view them all.

The videos are short, entertaining, and just might change the way you think about the profession. Speaking of which, click here to view a previous event, where presentations discussed the future of the legal profession.

While you’re there, you’ll probably notice we have a few other videos up on the Colorado and Denver Bar Association Vimeo page. Click here to see all of our videos.
