Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day from CBA-CLE

Today, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the civil rights activist who bravely spoke out against racism and oppression so many years ago. Dr. King’s important work continues to be relevant. His full speech is available here.

“Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.”

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.”

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed – we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
