Medical Marijuana at the Center of CDPHE Rulemaking Hearing

Two proposed amendments to the Code of Colorado Regulations (CCR) regarding medical marijuana are the subject of a public hearing slated for late October.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) invites public comment on measures being considered for addition to 5 CCR 1006-2, “Medical Use of Marijuana,” that will (1) codify the petitioning process for adding “debilitating medical conditions” approved for treatment with medical marijuana and (2) establish guidelines and procedures for indigent medical marijuana patients to receive benefits.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the rulemaking hearing on Wednesday, October 20, in the Sabin-Cleere Conference room at CDPHE office, located in Denver at 4300 Cherry Creek Dr. South, on the first floor of Building A. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.

For more information, contact Karen Osthus at the CDPHE, (303) 692-3466.
